BLU is expanding the Energy series with introduction of two new smartphones, the Studio Energy 2 and Energy X to help cater to the ever increasing need for extra battery life. Both the devices come with good batteries which are a must for today’s smartphone usage. The Studio Energy 2 comes with 5000mAh battery and the Studio Energy X comes with 4000mAh battery.
The BLU Studio Energy 2 comes with a 5-inch Super AMOLED HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, it comes with 294ppi pixel density and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor with Mali-T720 GPU, supported by 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB internal memory which can be expanded using microSD card. The Studio Energy 2 sports a 8MP rear camera with LED flash and capable of fullHD video recording at 30fps, along with it is a 5MP front facing camera.
The Studio Energy 2 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and supports Dual SIM with dual standby having 4G LTE support. The device is designed to look good as well with a metal body and golden border and having the speaker on the back along with the home buttons below the display. It measures 144 x 71.2 x 10.1 mm and weighs 176g in weight. The main feature of the Studio Energy 2 is the battery capacity which is a massive 5000mAh Li-ion battery which was also seen on its predecessor. It comes with reversible charging which helps in charging other devices with the help of micro USB cable. It comes connectivity features like 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS.
The Studio Energy X comes with a similar 5-inch IPS LCD display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor with Mali-T400 GPU and supported by 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal memory which can be further expanded using microSD card. The Studio Energy X sports a 8MP rear camera with LED Flash and video recording capability of 1080p at 30fps, it comes with 2MP front facing camera.
The Studio Energy X runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and has Dual SIM support with dual standby, it does not come with 4G LTE support but is only 3G HSPA+ enabled. The device is powered by a 4000mAh battery which is non-removable and has connectivity features like 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
The Studio Energy 2 comes in two colors of Midnight Grey and Ceramic White with Rose Gold and is priced at $179 whereas the Studio Energy X comes in Midnight Grey and Luxury Gold which is priced at $109. Both the devices are available on Amazon website immediately.
