Blackberry is now very close to officially announcing its first Android smartphone, the Blackberry Priv. This device made with security and privacy as one of the major USPs, will attract users with the OS it runs, i.e. Android.
Pre-registering is possible on Blackberry’s Canadian website, and this phone will reintroduce the touch and type combination for smartphones. While the page allows users to pre-register for the phone, we got to know about a few specs of the device officially.
Check: Blackberry PRIV Specifications
It is a Dual-curved screen with a 5.4-inch screen size. It is said to have a Schneider-Kreuznach certified camera setup, and there is a 3410 mAh battery packed in. Blackberry is calling this a “no compromise” smartphone, since although it comes with Android, there is a lot done by the company for security, privacy and usability of PRIV. To help with privacy, Blackberry has also introduced the DTEK system.
PRIV has the authentic BlackBerry keyboard, legendary security, streamlined communications and productivity, combined with the wide world of Google Play™ store apps. It has been engineered with the world’s finest technology, and packaged in an ultra-thin, ergonomically perfect device with a keyboard hidden by SmartSlide technology.
There is still no date provided for the launch of the phone, but we are slowly getting to know almost everything about the device. And it seems quite promising, and here’s why I’m excited about the Blackberry Priv.
