Optiemus Infracom, has launched two new BlackBerry smartphones, the BlackBerry Evolve and BlackBerry Evolve X, today. Optiemus is the official BlackBerry brand licensee holder in India, while TCL handles the US market. The smartphones come with BlackBerry’s DTEK security app through which users can configure their security fingerprint and facial recognition options for unlocking their smartphone.
BlackBerry Evolve X
The BlackBerry Evolve sports a 5.99-inch IPS LCD with a resolution of 1080×2160 pixels. The Gorilla Glass 5 protects the 18:9 display. Powering the phone is the Snapdragon 660 chipset with Adreno 512 GPU. The phone comes with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo.
As for the cameras, the phone comes with a dual camera setup on the back, with a 12 MP primary camera with a f/1.8 aperture and a 13 MP secondary camera which has an aperture of f/2.6. A second camera is a telephoto unit which also helps to capture depth information for portrait shots. To the front, the phone comes with a 16 MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.0.
The BlackBerry Evolve X packs in a massive 4000 mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0 standard, through the USB Type-C port. The phone also supports wireless charging. The phone has support for 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, GPS.
For security, the phone comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and face unlock. It comes with 3.5 mm audio jack with Dolby Atmos support.
Pricing and Availability of BlackBerry Evolve X
The BlacBerry Evolve X comes at INR 34,990 and will be available exclusively on Amazon India starting from end of August.

The BlackBerry Evolve sports a similar 5.99-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1080×2160 pixels. A Gorilla Glass 5 protects the 18:9 display. Underneath the hood,t he phone features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset with Adreno 506 GPU. It comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo.
In the camera department, the BlackBerry Evolve comes with a dual camera setup on the back. The rear houses a dual 13 MP cameras, while on the front, the phone features the same 16 MP sensor as the Evolve X.
The BlackBerry Evolve comes with a similarly sized 4000 mAh with Quick Charge 3.0 support, but doesn’t support wireless charging as the Evolve X. The phone has support for 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS, and GLONASS.
It comes with 3.5 mm headphone jack and FM Radio. For security, the phone comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner as well as face unlock.
Pricing and Availability of BlackBerry Evolve
The BlackBerry Evolve is priced at 24,990 and will be available on Amazon India, starting from mid-September, 2018.

Good phone but expensive . should reconsider their price decision .
Both Blackeberry Evolve & Evolve X packed with good spec’s but overprice tag make it totally worst apart 4000 mAh battery, big display & camera setup looks impressive if we ignore overprice tag.
