BB Merah Putih, the company that currently has the right to manufacture and sell BlackBerry smartphones, has announced the BlackBerry Aurora smartphone in Indonesia. The Aurora is the first smartphone after the BB Merah Putih and BlackBerry partnership that was formed back in September 2016 to manufacture and sell BlackBerry smartphones in Indonesia.
The BlackBerry Aurora sports a 5.5-inches HD (1280 X 720) display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC clocked at 1.4GHz Quad-Core processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. It comes with a microSD card slot support. The Aurors runs on Android 7.0 Nougat right out of the box.
Talking about the camera, the device rocks a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/ n, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0. A 3000mAh battery is on board for all battery requirements.
Pricing and Availability: The smartphone is already available from March 3 through pre-orders and will be available until March 12th with local retailers and is priced at IDR 3,499,000 (approx Rs. 17,400). The device will be available in Black, Silver, and Go color variants.
