Asus has launched their first Android Go smartphone, Asus ZenFone Live L1, in Indonesia. Since it runs on Android Go, the phone comes with stock android for smoother experience, on low-end hardware. There’s also a variant of Live L1 which runs on ZenUI 5.0 on top of Android Oreo and comes with 2 GB of RAM.
The ZenFone Live L1 sports a 5.45 inch HD+ display with a 1440x720p resolution. Keeping up with the trend, the phone has a new 18:9 display. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 425 chipset with the Adreno 308 handling the graphics. The processor comes with a clock speed of 1.4 GHz. It comes with 1 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 2 TB, via a microSD card slot. The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo Go edition.
The ZenFone Live L1 has a 13 MP rear camera which supports Phase Detection Auto Focus Technology, paired with an LED flash. There’s also a 5 MP front-facing shooter that supports face unlock technology.
The Live L1 is packs in a 3300 mAh battery. For connectivity, the phone has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Micro-USB port which supports USB-OTG. Although the phone has facial recognition for unlocking, the phone doesn’t come with a fingerprint scanner.
Pricing and Availability
The ZenFone Live L1 will come in Rose Pink, Midnight Black, White and Blue colors. The pricing and availability of the phone are still unknown.
Earlier, the company had launched their ZenFone Max Pro M1 with Snapdragon 636 chipset, 3 GB/4 GB RAM, 32 GB/64 GB of internal storage and stock Android, in India. The phone is now available for purchase from Flipkart. The pricing starts from 10,999 for the 3 GB/32 GB variant and goes up to 12,999 for the 4 GB/64 GB variant. Additionally, Asus is also planning on launching a 6 GB RAM/128 GB storage variant with 16 MP camera in future.
