At the Computex 2016 event in Taiwan, ASUS has just launched a flurry of devices as an upgrade from the ZenFone 2 series, as the ASUS ZenFone 3, ZenFone 3 Deluxe, and the ZenFone 3 Ultra get officially launched. There is quite a lot upgraded from the previous devices, and even the design sees some difference.
These three phones come with advanced cameras, new PixelMaster technology, newer UI and a lot packed for the price they are being offered at.
ASUS ZenFone 3
The Asus ZenFone 3 comes with a 5.5-inch TFT LED backlight display with a 1080p resolution. The exterior has glass on both the sides with a 2.5D glass on the top of both, front and back. It is the MSM8953, i.e. Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor powering the phone along with 3GB/4GB of RAM and Adreno 506 GPU.
The camera combination gets an upgrade as well, as we see a 16-megapixel rear camera with Optical image stabilization, F/2.0 aperture, Laser autofocus, and on the front is an 8-megapixel camera with a F/2.0 aperture and an 88-degree wide angle lens. The rear camera can capture 64MP super resolution pictures and 4K videos. with 0.03 seconds TriTech autofocus technology, 4-axis OIS and 3-axis EIS is also included. Under the hood, the ZenFone 3 has a 3000 mAh battery.
The phone is priced starting at $249 (for 3GB / 32GB variant).
ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe
The ZenFone 2 Deluxe can calmly claim to be the actual flagship with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and Adreno 530 GPU powering the phone. Along with that is 6GB of RAM and the UFS storage. There is a USB Type-C connectivity along with Quick Charge 3.0 technology for fast charging. Even the screen is a bit larger than on the ZenFone 3, with a 5.7-inch AMOLED display.
There is a 23-megapixel rear camera with 0.03 seconds TriTech autofocus technology, 4-axis OIS and 3-axis EIS, PixelMaster 3.0. The phone is priced at $499.
ASUS ZenFone 3 Ultra
The Ultra is the new device in the series, with a larger display – a 6.8-inch Full HD display, an octa-core Qualcomm Snpapdragon 652 processor, 4GB of RAM, a 4600 mAh battery and USB Type-C with support for Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
It comes with an invisible antenna design, Dual stereo speakers, Hi-res audio, and DTS Headphone:X. The large phablet is priced at $479 for 4GB RAM / 64GB storage.
