In the MWC event today, Asus launched the ZenFone 5 Lite, the ZenFone 5 and the ZenFone 5Z which is their flagship. These devices were announced at the event and then showcased at the booth, along with these phones we found yet another phone showcased by the company which is yet to be announced.
The ZenFone Max M1 is the power series device aimed at a higher battery life. The device comes with a 5.5-inch Full View display that brings it to the form factor of a 5-inch device. This smartphone from Asus also comes with a dual camera having a 13MP primary sensor along with a 120-degree Wide Angle sensor. The software on the device is based on Android Nougat and has support for both Face Unlock as well as Fingerprint security. This helps increase the convenience of the user and also gives them the freedom of choice.
Not many details have been given about the device, we do know that the battery on the device is a 4000mAh battery. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor bearing the ID MSM8937. The rear design of the device is strikingly similar to the Recently announced Redmi Note 5 Pro which makes it similar to the iPhone X.
It is unclear when and if the device will actually enter the market, the device is a prototype edition phone being showcased at the event for the company to talk about their achievements and advancements. The device is expected to be a low power device and aims primarily at offering the users with a good battery life and thus the company has opted for the biggest battery and the smallest screen size.
