ARCHOS has unveiled two new smartphones in the Diamond series, the Diamond 2 Plus and Diamond 2 Note. Both the devices will be showcased at MWC 2016 in Barcelona. Both the smartphones run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and are quite different in terms of specifications from each other. Both the devices are different not only in terms of internal specifications but are also quite differently designed, with the Diamond 2 Plus have a more squarish design compared to the rounded design of the Diamond 2 Note.
The Diamond 2 Note is the bigger of the two in terms of display size sporting a 6-inch IPS display with resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. It is powered by a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6795 Helio X10 processor and coupled with 3GB of RAM. The device packs a 16MP rear camera with LED flash which supports 4K video recording at 30fps along with an 8MP front facing camera. It is powered by a 3610mAh battery and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

The device lacks a Fingerprint sensor which has become a must have feature in every mid-range to high-end smartphone these days and even entry level smartphones sporting one. The device is priced at 299€ or $279 which is approximately Rs. 19,000 and will be showcased at MWC 2016 alongside the Diamond 2 Plus.
The second device unveiled by the company is the Diamond 2 Plus which sports a smaller 5.5-inch FullHD IPS display and is powered by an Octa-core MediaTek MT6755 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage space. The device sports a 20.7MP rear camera with Sony sensor and dual-LED flash, the front camera is an 8MP sensor with Flash.

The ARCHOS Diamond 2 Plus is powered by 3000mAh battery along with Fast Charge and comes with connectivity features like 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The Diamond 2 Plus is available in Black and White colors and is priced at $229 which is approximately Rs. 15,710 and is said to be available in May. Both the Diamond 2 Plus and Diamond 2 Note will be showcased at MWC 2016 in Barcelona.
