Alcatel is going after all the segments of Android smartphones, and it has just announced the OneTouch Pixi First, which is going to be targeted at the budget category Android phones. The device comes with a 4-inch display with a below-par resolution of 480×800 pixels which will surely not be worth competing with any device. The device has thickness of 9.7mm which is very sleek when it comes to 4″ devices in the market.
The OneTouch Pixel First is powered by an 1.2 GHz quad-core Spreadtrum 7731 chip set which is supported by 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage which can be expanded using microSD card. The device sports a 5MP rear camera which is capable of recording fullHD or 1080p videos, there is a 2MP front facing fixed-focus camera.
The Pixel First is powered by a 1450mAh battery which gives 7 hours of talk time and 300 hours standby time. It comes with basic connectivity features like Dual-SIM, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi etc. The Pixel First comes with a customized back case with four colors to choose from: Metal Silver, Soft Slate, Metal Gold and rose Gold.

The Alcatel OneTouch Pixel First’s pricing and availability are not yet revealed but looking at the specifications, it will be priced in the budget category competing with the cheapest android powered smartphones in the market.
Alcatel also launched a tablet called OneTouch PIXI 3 (10) along with two budget friendly but design oriented smartphones OneTouch POP Star and POP UP and a smartwatch called Alcatel GO Watch to add to its IFA 2015 event announcements.
