Alcatel has launched the OneTouch Flash 2 smartphone in India, and the price set for the smartphone is Rs. 9299. This is yet another smartphone/brand to get into an exclusive partnership with an online retailer, as the Flash 2 is going to be sold exclusively on Flipkart, from October 27th.
For the specifications, the Flash 2 has similar configuration to some other in the price range, though this might attract users who wanted a decent screen size and not a phablet-size one. The Alcatel Onetouch Flash 2 comes with a 5-inch HD (720 X 1280) IPS display, and internally, there is a MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor (clocking at 1.3 GHz) along with 2GB of RAM.
As for the storage, the phone has 16GB internal storage and a MicroSD card slot supports storage expansion of up to 128GB. The phone has 4G LTE support, and the other options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, and this is a Dual SIM unit with Dual standby. The device runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.
The camera combination includes a 13-megapixel rear shooter with F/2.0 aperture, Dual LED Dual-tone flash, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with a soft LED flash. The phone comes packed with a 3000 mAh battery, and that is capable of giving up to 600 hours of standby time. The phone has Volcanic Grey and Mica White color variants, and the design looks too good for that price.
