Everyone in this world has been through this phase of life that when you receive some important calls then when you are out there in the traffic, driving or in a very noisy place. Team RippleBuds has come up with an incredible solution for this. They have created these earbuds named RippleBuds with an in-ear microphone. Yes, an in-ear microphone that excludes other ambient noises so that your voice is always crystal clear.
While traveling, RippleBuds CEO, Shin Dusik, found himself in a noisy crowded place when on a call with a client and making his conversation very difficult. After losing a client to an inaudible phone meeting Shin decided it was time to create a solution for this common problem. And, upon realising that the voice indeed comes out from the mouth and ear, he got this idea and represented it as the RippleBuds.
The company has started the campaign in March 2016 and will be ending on April 21, 2016, which still has 23 days left. It has already got nearly $343,724 of $50,000 of what they pledged with almost 3000 backers already.
RippleBuds are the world’s smallest Bluetooth earbuds equipped with an in-ear microphone. The buds have this innovative noise blocking technology which excludes the ambient noise by about 30 decibels, which makes the person on the other side feel like you are nowhere in this world by the crystal clear voice. Users can also use RippleBuds to listen to music. And what not? It can be recharged on-the-go with a recharge capsule which can recharge the 3 (mono) and 6 (stereo) cycles of full recharge to the buds of which the buds last at least for five hours. Tiny, but powerful, they provide much comfort with a minimal profile.
As ambient noises are reduced, you can now ask Siri and Google with complete accuracy even when you are in a Music Festival, haha. And, there’s no need to increase your volume just to overcome those disturbing ambient noises as they have three fin earpad design which overcomes the ambient noise, enlightening your hearing to whole new level.
RippleBuds can be used by anyone. Entrepreneurs and working professionals who are busy with their work can have business and conference calls on the go. To the automobile drivers for blocking the traffic noises and ask their personal assistant anything they want on-the-go. To the cyclists for intercepting the sound of wind and allowing them to talk while riding. To the athletes who do lots of workouts as it is sweat-proof and the earpads are washable. And for the call centre representatives who doesn’t have time to talk with their loved ones while in work.
RippleBuds microphone has a frequency range of 100Hz ~ 16KHz and output impedance of 2kΩ -S/N. The speaker has an impedance of 16 Ω at 1KHz, output sound up to 92.7db +- 3dB at 1KHz, and a bandwidth of 20hz ~ 20khz. It has a Dual Mode Bluetooth 4.1 Audio compatibility with classic Bluetooth devices (A2DP profile audio codec) with a wireless range of up to 30 feet/ 10 meters. It is compatible any smartphone, tablets, and or laptop which has Bluetooth and communication functions built-in. The battery is expected to be 55 mAh Li-ion battery which has a standby time of 110 hours and talking time of 5 hours which charges in 2 hours. The recharging capsule is of 310 mAh. The earpads are made up of silicon which is available in 5 different sizes and are washable. They are sweat proof and the earpads are washable as mentioned earlier.

The company also confirms that they are not using the bone conduction method. It is one principle which captures the vibrations through the skull bone. There are several products in the market which use bone conduction.
