Yu Televentures, the parent company of Micromax has paired with Reliance Retail to make the company’s smartphones available to customers offline. With YU mainly concentrating on the budget segment with smartphones like the Yuphoria, Yureka Plus and Yunique which are quite popular in the masses.

YU will be launching VoLTE versions of these smartphones, which will be made available in Reliance Stores. With VoLTE which means Voice over LTE, mobile operators will be able to place a phone call over your LTE connection instead of the voice networks. This will allow better quality Audio and Video calls using the LTE network.
With YU partnering with Reliance Retail there will be a lot of exposure to the company in the Offline market as Reliance has 30,000 Reliance retail outlets across India. The pricing of the YU Yuphoria is Rs. 7,999, YU Yunique is Rs. 6,499 and YU Yureka Plus is Rs. 10,999 these are the offline prices for the smartphones sold through reliance stores.
With the offline exposure of their smartphones, YU which mainly concentrated on budget segment till now is aiming to capture the segment of people who do not like online purchases and believe in seeing the phones with hands on first and then purchasing it. The is company is all set to enter into the Flagship segment with teasers of their all metal Yutopia being released taking jibes at other companies like Xiaomi and OnePlus.
