Just a few hours ago Samsung announced their all new Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. Now, we also have information on the availability of the newly announced smartphones. Samsung doesn’t want us to wait a long time before we get our hands on the device.
Samsung has stated that the device will be available in the USA and Europe starting 11th March 2016, with pre-orders beginning as soon as 23rd February. However, the only available model for the phones will be the 32GB variant, and if you want more storage, you will have to resort to the microSD card slot.
In the USA, the phone will be available on all the four major carriers on contract, starting as early as 11th March as well. When getting the phone on contract, different carriers in the USA will be bundling different offers with the smartphone. AT&T will bundle DirecTV with the smartphone, which will let you watch Live TV on your smartphone itself. Verizon will bundle 2GB of extra data per month if you go with the Plan XL service. Sprint will be offering the Galaxy Forever program that allows you to pay for a year for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge in monthly installments, and then you will be eligible to upgrade to a new device. T-Mobile, on the other hand, is offering a 1-year subscription to Netflix for free with the smartphone.
If you wish to buy the phone full price and are ready to pre-order it, Samsung has a sweet deal for you. When you buy the phone full price, you will get Samsung Gear VR bundled with the smartphone in the cost. This deal is most probably just for the USA and Europe, and we will probably not see such a deal in India. Oculus has also announced that they will be providing a VR Content Bundle. The contents of the bundle will depend on the carrier you decide to go with, but they have assured that the value of the content bundled together will be $50.
As for the pricing of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, we have little information right now. Samsung has not officially announced the pricing yet, but through a leak from the Samsung UK website, the prices for both the phones, the Galaxy S7 and the S7 Edge were listed as £569.00 ($811 approximately) and £639.00 ($911 approximately) respectively.
The pricing on the device is really high, but that’s the way it is with Samsung devices. Most of them are able to justify the price at which they are sold. We are still waiting to hear the launch date and pricing for the phone in India. Though, sources say that it will be available within the month of March itself.
