Samsung has been actively working on the budget and mid-range smartphones in the recent times and thus, we see newer devices coming up even if they offer only a little difference from their predecessor. This time, it is the Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro that is launched, exclusively on Snapdeal.
Not long ago, the Galaxy J2 2016 was launched. It carried decent specifications for the price if we are talking only about the devices from Samsung, but the RAM and internal storage seemed too less comparatively. Now, with the J2 Pro, Samsung is trying to rectify that and retain everything else as it is. Thus, the J2 Pro now offers 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage with a MicroSD card slot as well.
The phone has a 5-inch display with the 720p resolution, which keeps the pixel density at 294 PPI. Under the hood, a 1.5 GHz Quad-Core Processor powers the phone, with the support by 2GB RAM as mentioned above. The phone runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with the TouchWiz UI from Samsung offering a custom look and unique user experience.
The camera combination includes an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Around the rear camera is a smart notification ring called Smart Glow. This is a LED system that lets you add customised colours to your prioritized Apps, Contact List, and other phone usage alerts respectively. Smart Glow also has the Selfie Assist Feature that enables you in taking great selfies.
Samsung is said to have included a Turbo Speed Technology (TST) that helps opening the apps faster by about 40%, by re-engineering the inbuilt apps so that they have a lower memory footprint. As for the connectivity, the Galaxy J2 Pro has Cat. 4 LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, FM Radio, and MicroUSB 2.0. The device also supports USB OTG connectivity.
The Galaxy J2 Pro has a 2600 mAh battery packed in, and the phone also has VoLTE support for HD calling. It is priced at Rs. 9890.
