Samsung India has officially launched the top-end Galaxy A-series smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy A8+ that comes with the Infinity display with the aspect ratio of 18.5:9. The smartphone retains the display aspect ratio from the company’s flagships but the resolution and size are different. The body is said to have the IP68 certification to keep the phone dustproof and water proof.
The Galaxy A8+ comes with a 6-inch Full HD display with the 1080 x 2220 pixels resolution doing justice to the 18.5:9 aspect ratio, and internally, the phone is powered by the Exynos 7885 Octa, the octa-core chip clocking at 2.2GHz. The phone comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage while there is a support for storage expansion with the help of a MicroSD card.
The main focus when it comes to imaging has been kept on the front cameras as the Galaxy A8+ has a dual-lens front camera setup with a 16MP + 8MP camera combination with the F/1.9 aperture, while on the back is a 16MP camera having the F/1.7 aperture. The front cameras are supported by the Live Focus feature to enable bokeh effects. The phone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat based TouchWiz UI and there is the Always On feature present to give you a glance at the date and time, and the notifications. The phone also has the Samsung Pay support and the smart assistant Bixby is integrated as well.
A 3500 mAh battery is included to power the device and it has the fast charging support. As for the connectivity, the phone has two Nano SIM card slots, and there is 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB Type-C 2.0 port.
The smartphone is priced at Rs. 32,990 and it will be available in Black and Gold options, with the sale starting from January 20th exclusively on Amazon India.
