After multiple leaks, Nokia has finally revived its X-series with the launch of their new smartphone, the Nokia X6, today, in China. The Finnish brand has embraced the notch trend by including a notched display on the X6.
The Nokia X6 sports a 5.8-inch FullHD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2280×1080 pixels. The modern 19:9 display has a whopping 95% screen-to-body ratio and is protected under Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The phone is powered by the Octa-core Snapdragon 636 chipset with Adreno 509 GPU. It comes in either, 4 GB or 6 GB LPDDR4 RAM variants, with 32 GB or 64 GB of internal storage. The storage can be expanded up to 256 GB using a microSD card. The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo, upgradable to Android P.
The Nokia X6 comes with a dual camera setup on the back which uses a 16 MP RGB primary sensor with F/2.0 aperture and 1.0um pixel size. The secondary unit uses a Monochrome 5 MP camera with an F/2.2 aperture and 1.2um pixel size. There’s also a dual-tone dual-LED flash on the back. To the front, there’s a 16 MP F/2.0 selfie shooter, which comes with AI selfies for background blur & stickers.
For security, the X6 sports a rear mounted fingerprint scanner. It comes with a 3060 mAH battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support underneath, which can be charged from 0 – 50 % in just 30 mins. For connectivity, it comes with 4G VoLTE, 802.11ac dual band Wi-Fi, GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5 and a headphone jack.
Pricing and Availability of Nokia X6
The Nokia X6 comes in Blue, Black and Silver colors. The phone is priced at CNY 1299 (USD 204/ INR 13,830) for the 4 GB RAM/ 32 GB storage variant, the 4 GB RAM/ 64 GB storage variant is priced at CNY 1499 (USD 236/ INR 15,980), while the 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage variant would cost you CNY 1699 (USD 266/ INR 18,090). The availability of the phone in markets other than China is still unknown.
