The Nokia 9 has been awaited for a very long time now and the device has been finally launched at an event by Nokia in Barcelona. The Nokia 9 is the latest flagship from the company and comes with a Glass body design which makes it look very premium. The Nokia 9 is the first smartphone from the company to have a 5 camera setup that is all used together to take a picture for added resolution and detail. The best part about the Nokia 9 is the fact that despite such premium and sophisticated optics, the brand was successful in having a design without the protruding camera bump.
The Nokia 9 is fairly thin and comes in at about 8.2 mm thickness, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and dedicated ASIC which is a surprise to us considering that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 has been launched and we are slowly starting to see devices with the processor. The Nokia 9 comes with Image fusion technology and all the cameras come with HDR support enabling them to capture HDR. The camera in the Nokia 9 is powered by Zeiss Optics and the aperture on all the cameras is F/1.8. The Penta camera setup on the Nokia 9 consists of 2 RGB sensors in the middle and bottom along with 3 Monochrome cameras. The rear camera on the Nokia 9 supports 4K video for high resolution capturing but doesn’t come with OIS or EIS support. The Penta camera setup on the Nokia 9 combines the information captured by each of the sensors to give a final output of 12MP resolution. The front camera on the Nokia 9 has a resolution of 20MP.
The Nokia 9 comes with a 5.99-inch display and has a resolution of 2K with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The internal storage on the Nokia 9 is 128GB storage and the device comes with an In-display fingerprint sensor and support for Wireless fast charging. The Nokia 9 also comes with IP67 certification for resistance from dust and water. The battery on the Nokia 9 is of 3370 mAh capacity and the device is expected to be launched 1 week after MWC
Penta Camera Setup is an main USP of the Nokia 9 which brings new evolution in smartphone camera department in upcoming years apart they need to use atleast new SD855 instead 845.
