Motorola has finally launched their new sixth gen G-series smartphones, Moto G6 Plus, Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play smartphones. All the three phones are splash resistant and come with an 18:9 display. The three phones come with 15 W Turbo Charger, to top up the batteries quickly. The phones have a curved glass back, for better grip.
The Moto E series from Motorola is the budget range one, and it did have some well valued phones in the recent times, except for the Moto E4 series that received some flak except for the battery life they offered. Now, the company has officially launched the Moto E5 Plus and Moto E5 Play. But this time, there are several changes made and there is a new design language that the company has got.
Moto G6 Plus
The Moto G6 Plus comes with a 5.99” Full HD+ IPS LCD display. The display has an 18:9 aspect ratio covered under Gorilla Glass 3. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 630 chipset and Adreno 508 GPU. It comes in either 4 GB/ 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB/ 128 GB of storage, which is expandable up to 256 GB. The phone comes with Android 8.0 Oreo, out of the box.
The G6 Plus has a dual camera setup on the back with a 12 MP F/1.7 main camera and a 5 MP secondary camera. The rear cameras can record 4K 2160p videos and there’s also a dual-tone dual-LED flash on the back. The seflie camera is an 8 MP camera with a LED flash and can record videos up to 1080p resolution.
The phone has a 3200 mAh battery which can be charged via the Type-C port. The phone has a front mounted fingerprint scanner, an accelerometer, a gyroscope, proximity sensor and a compass. The phone supports dual band 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS, GLONASS and has 3.5mm headphone jack.
Moto G6
The Moto G6 sports with a 5.7” Full HD+ IPS LCD display. The display has an 18:9 aspect ratio and 75% screen-to-body ratio, covered under Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by Snapdragon 450 chipset and Adreno 506 GPU. The phone comes in either 3 GB RAM/ 4 GB RAM and 32 GB of storage/ 64 GB of storage, which is expandable up to 256 GB via a microSD card. The phone comes with Android 8.0 Oreo, out of the box.
The Moto G6 also has a dual camera setup on the back with a 12 MP main camera which has an F/1.8 aperture and a 5 MP secondary camera. There’s also a dual-tone dual-LED flash on the back. The seflie camera is an 8 MP camera with an LED flash. Although both the rear camera as well as the front camera can record 1080p videos, the rear camera can shoot at 1080p 60fps as well.

The phone is powered by Snapdragon 430 chipset and Adreno 505 GPU. It comes with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, which is expandable up to 256 GB, via a microSD card. The phone runs Android 8.0 Oreo, out of the box.
The Moto G6 Play has a single 13 MP camera with an F/2.0 aperture on the rear and there’s also a dual-tone dual-LED flash on the back. The rear camera can record 1080p 30fps videos. The seflie camera is an 8 MP shooter with a LED flash and can record videos upto 1080p resolution.
The G6 Play has a massive 4000 mAh battery which can be charged via the microUSB port. The phone has a rear mounted fingerprint scanner for secure access. - Moto G6 Plus comes in Gold and Indigo Colors and will available in Brazil starting today. The phone is priced at €300 (INR 24,437).
- Moto G6 comes in Deep Indigo, Silver, Blush and Black colors. The phone is priced at €250 (INR 20,364 approx).
- Moto G6 Play comes in Deep Indigo, Flash Gray and Gold colors. The phone is priced at €200 (INR 16,291 approx).
Moto E5 Plus
The Moto E5 Plus has a 6” HD+ IPS LCD display with a 720x1440p resolution. The display has an 18:9 aspect ratio and is protected under unspecified version of Gorilla Glass. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 425 chipset and Adreno 505 GPU. It comes in either 2 GB RAM/ 3 GB RAM variants and with 16 GB of storage/ 32 GB of storage, which is expandable up to 256 GB, via a microSD card. The phone runs Android 8.0 Oreo.
On the back the E5 Plus has a single 12 MP camera with an F/2.0 aperture and 1.25um pixel size. The rear camera comes with Phase Detection Autofocus and there’s an LED flash on the back. The rear camera can record 1080p 30fps videos. To the front, there’s dual camera setup with 5 MP F/2.0 camera and 8 MP shooter with an F/2.2 aperture and 1.25um pixel size. The E5 plus US version comes with a LED flash on the front, while other variants won’t have a front LED flash.

- The Moto E5 comes in Gold and Platinum colors and will cost €150 (INR12,220 aprrox). The phone will be available in Europe Latin America and Asia Pacific.
- The pricing of Moto E5 Play is still unknown while the phone is said to available in the US markert only.
