Micromax has been silent for the past 7-8 months with very limited launches, though the reasons for that is whole other discussion for some other day. Well, it looks like Micromax is all set for its grand comeback by launching the new Bharat series handsets that include Bharat 1 and Bharat 2 with 4G Volte support. Aiming to address the network requirements of ordinary people, the Bharat series will be priced at Rs. 1999 for Bharat 1, while the Bharat 2 will be an Android-powered smartphone that will be priced at Rs.2,999.
With such an aggressive pricing, Micromax is aiming to sell around 5-6 million Bharat units in Indi in the next five to six months which might bring back the Micromax’s lost glory in the country. The company is tight lip about the details like specifications of the Bharat 1 and Bharat 2, and all we know is that one will be a Java-powered handset, while the latter will run on Android OS. However, few rumors point at a Java-based OS instead of full-fledged Android.
Nonetheless, whatever the company might be launching, we sure hope it will disrupt the Mobile industry, Micromax is not alone in this regards, companies like Karbonn, Intex, Lava and mostly importantly Reliance Jio are also in the line of launching low-cost 4G Volte powered handsets. Stay tuned for more details on the same; we sure will let you know when the company launches them officially in India.
