Weeks after the launch of the LG G7 ThinQ, the Korean giant has quietly launched their new smartphone in the V-series, the LG V35 ThinQ. The new smartphone ditches the notch for a standard 18:9 screen and has Dual 16 MP rear cameras with AI.
Display
The LG V35 ThinQ sports a QHD+ OLED display spread across 6 inches. The 18:9 display has a resolution of 2880×1440 pixels that is protected under Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5. The screen supports HDR10 playback and has Pixel density of 538 PPI.
Processor, RAM and Storage
Underneath the hood, the V35 packs in the beefy Snapdragon 845 chipset from Qualcomm, with Adreno 630 GPU handling the graphics. The LG V35 comes with 6 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64 GB of storage to choose from. There’s also room for expansion via the microSD card slot, which lets users upgrade the storage up to a whopping 2 TB, although there aren’t any 2 TB SD available in the market. The phone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with LG’s ThinQ UI on top.
Cameras
As for the cameras, the V35 sports a dual 16 MP camera setup on the back, of which one is a normal camera, while the other is a super wide angle camera. The main camera has an f/1.6 aperture and a 71° wide angle lens, while the secondary super wide angle camera has an f/1.9 aperture and a 107°super wide angle lens.
To the front, the V35 comes with an 8 MP selfie camera, which has an f/1.9 aperture and wide 80° Field of View (FOV). The V35 comes with AI camera that we was first introduced in the V30s ThinQ, which now offers up to 19 scene modes, stickers, a specially designed Super Bright Camera Mode that was first introduced in the LG G7 ThinQ. The Super Bright Camera mode identifies low light conditions and uses pixel binning technology to produce four times brighter image.
Miscellaneous
The LG V35 comes with a 3300 mAh battery underneath the glass sandwich. The battery can quickly be topped up at Quick Charge 3.0 speeds and also comes with wireless charging support. For added endurance and resilience, the phone is IP68 dust and water certified, and it is MIL-STD-810G compliant.
LG’s focus on providing its customers an unparalled audio experience continues with the inclusion of the Hi-Fi 32 Bit/192 kHz Quad DAC. The Hi-Fi DAC has DTS:X, which offers an immersive sound experience and 3D virtualization up to 7.1 audio. The box also includes a pair of Bang & Olufsen certified headphones.
For connectivity, the phone comes with Dual band 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 LE with apt-X HD, NFC, A-GPS-GLONASS, GALILEO and a USB Type port.The phone also comes with a rear mounted fingerprint scanner.
Pricing and Availability of LG V35 ThinQ
The LG V35 ThinQ comes in Platinum Gray and Aurora Black colors. In USA, the phone is priced at USD 900 (INR 60,720) and is available for pre-order on AT&T from today, while the sale starts from June 8. The phone will be available in select markets of Asia, Europe and Middle East, subsequently.
Additionally, LG has also launched the LG V35+ ThinQ, which only offers double the storage as the V35, which is 128 GB.
