Lenovo had a silent 2017 so far, after it had launched its last phone, the K6 Note back in December 2016. Now, the successor to that is finally launched in India as the company introduces the Lenovo K8 Note. Solid with a metal body, the K8 Note offers a strong set of specifications and will come in two variants, exclusively available on Amazon India.
The smartphone has a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display on the front and there is a scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection offered. Internally, Lenovo has included the MediaTek Helio X23 processor, which is said to offer a much better performance even with the graphics when compared to the Snapdragon 625 chipset. The phone will be offered in two variants, one with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, and the other with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The Lenovo K8 Note also has a dedicated MicroSD card slot for the storage expansion.
One of the highlights of this phone is the dual-lens rear camera combination where you see a 13MP + 5MP camera combination and these are meant to capture bokeh captures with the secondary sensor measuring the depth of field. To support the rear camera, there is a Dual CCT flash. On the front, the Lenovo K8 Note has got a 13-megapixel camera and even this is supported by the flash light. The camera app has the depth enabled mode option for the back camera and then, during the editing, you can change the background as well. For the ones who like better selfies, Lenovo has made sure to include HDR and Pro mode even for the front camera.
Lenovo has changed the interface this time and as the company had earlier mentioned, every device will now have the stock Android interface. It runs Android 7.1.1 and there are a few gestures included. Also, the phone has a Music button on the left panel and it is a shortcut that can be customised to have some other function if not the music control.
The Lenovo K8 Note has a 4000 mAh battery and the company is including a 15W charger for the fast charge support. For the audio, there is Dolby Atmos support as well. The connectivity options include 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and there is no NFC support offered in the device.
The K8 Note is priced at Rs. 12999 for the 3GB/32GB variant and Rs. 13999 for 4GB/64GB variant and the color options available are Fine Gold and Venom Black. The first sale starts on 18th of August at 12:00 noon. The offers include 80% off on ebooks, up to Rs. 300. Idea is offering 64GB 4G data and unlimited calls for 56 days at Rs. 343. Also, the Moto Sports Headphones is available for Rs. 699 along with the device (originally priced at Rs. 1599).
