LeEco have recently launched three new smartphones along with the LeEco all-electric car in China, the company is going to hold an event in India as well and is sending out invites for the same. The date of the event is set at May 3rd and other details about the event are not yet revealed. The event could be for the launch of their latest smartphone or the VR headset or any other accessories which is not clear at this point of time.
On the invite it is given ‘Block your date to witness the revolution, Entertainment will play in a whole new way’. This points at the devices or the accessories which will be launched being Entertainment-centric and nothing much is being revealed.
Update: When it meant Entertainment, it is for sure that we are not looking at Le 2 and now we have a confirmation that the smartphones not coming, and probably even the TVs won’t be shown.
LeEco surely took the industry by surprise by removing the 3.5mm jack from the Le 2, Le 2 Pro and Le Max 2 which was what everyone rumored Apple to do with their next iPhone. The LeEco Le 2 is the successor to the Le 1s which has been pretty popular in India competing with the Redmi Note 3 and getting good sales as well. The Le 2 Pro is a toned up variant of the Le 2 with a better processor, RAM and camera set up.
The details of the LeEco event on 3rd May 2016 in Mumbai will be updated as the company reveals its plans about what products they are going to bring into India. It will be pretty impressive if LeEco is capable of bringing the LeEco Le 2 into India on May 3rd. Keep watching this space for more updates about the event.
