Chinese tech manufacturer LeEco has announced that it will be investing $10 million to set up an in-house Cloud and Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) in India. The set up is expected to be spread across 10 cities in India completed by the year end.
LeEco is targeting and intends to reach out close to 10 million users across these smart cities, the smart device users will benefit through these CDN/Cloud Infrastructure developments. The CDN/Cloud Infrastructure can be used to provide content delivery capabilities in a linear channel, live events and video on demand for both mobile and TV segment and enhancing the user experience on LeEco products.
Atul Jain, COO, Smart Electronics Business, LeEco India, said, “We wish to replicate our successful global ecosystem model in India, offering users a distinct content integrated offering across our devices,” The 10 CDN/Cloud infrastructures will be added to the LeEcos global 650 CDNs through Cloud and will help LeEco smartphone or TV users to stream audio, video or internet television content on-demand seamlessly and reliably, wherever they are.
India is going to be the second market after China for LeEco to stream content and the company is also planning to deliver third party content for LeEco smartphone and TV users. With the Le 1s getting an amazing response in India the company will surely bring their new devices which are scheduled to be launched like the Le 2, Le 2s etc. LeEco has also announced a LeEco Day on April 7th and 8th where they are said to give amazing offers like exchange offers of up to Rs. 10,000 on the Le 1s and Rs. 21,000 on the Le Max.
