Idea cellular, India’s 3rd largest mobile operator has announced a new data pack for it prepaid users. It is termed as low-cost data packs for prepaid users who want monthly validity but at a low cost. These packs are not for the heavy users but for new users, housewives, old people or college students on a limited budget or limited usage.
The Idea Freedom packs come with 28-day validity and limited data benefit. The cost of the packs will be varying according to the circle the user belongs to. There are two packs which have been released in this Freedom Packs offer, these will be useful for users who use WiFi at Office and home and mobile data connection is used only when outside.
Commenting on the launch, Sashi Shankar, Chief Marketing Office, Idea Cellular said:
Idea Freedom packs target those consumers who want to stay digitally connected throughout the month, however at 30-40% lower costs. These packs would help us enhance convenience for prepaid customers, who have to otherwise depend on multiple sachet recharges to manage their costs and internet needs throughout the month. These packs could serve as a one-stop solution for them.
The pricing and other details of the Idea Freedom pack are as follows, Rs. 100 with 28 days validity and 300MB of 2G data. the other pack is priced at Rs. 175 with 28 days validity and 500MB of 2G data. These packs will be available for both pre-existing and new prepaid users alike.
