Huawei has officially launched the Huawei P20 and Huawei P20 Pro, the latter coming with the triple camera setup having one of the most advanced camera systems. The company has talked about how advanced the phones have got with the Artificial Intelligence, taking ahead what was offered on the Mate series.
The Huawei P20 and P20 Pro come with the Kirin 970 processor having the NPU for AI, and the EMUI interface on the phones is based on the latest Android 8.1.0 Oreo OS. Along with the other AI features, there is also the HUAWEI AIS (AI Image Stabilization), a powerful AI stabilization technology.
The P20 comes with the 5.8-inch display while the P20 Pro has a 6.1-inch display, and both the phones have ultra-thin bezels, with the FullView Display featuring the 19:9 aspect ratio and a small notch on the top to house the camera and the sensors.
The Huawei P20 Pro features a Leica triple camera with the camera configuration is comprised of a 40MP RGB sensor, a 20MP monochrome sensor and an 8MP sensor with telephoto lens. There’s a color temperature sensor that helps in a better color reproduction. The aperture sizes for the three cameras are f/1.8, f/1.6 and f/2.4 respectively, and the phone features the VARIO-SUMMILUX-H 1:1.6-2.4/27-80ASPH lens for the long-range photography offering up to 5x hybrid zoom. The camera setup on the P20 Pro can push the ISO to up to 102400 for taking photos in low light conditions.
The Huawei P20 on the other side offers a dual-lens camera setup, having 12MP lens with a pixel size as high as 1.55 μm, and a 20MP monochrome lens.
The common features of the cameras on both the phones are the inclusion of 960 fps slow-motion video recording and the six-axis stabilization. With Ultra Snapshot mode, the devices can capture an image in as little as 0.3 seconds by just double-clicking the down volume button, even from an off screen.
Both the phones have a 24.8-megapixel selfie camera with AI beautification and 3D portrait lighting.
The Huawei P20 series also supports SuperCharge, the company’s fast charging technology and while the P20 Pro comes with a 4000 mAh battery, the P20 has a 3400 mAh battery, and there is AI-powered Battery Management offered in them. While the P20 comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, the P20 Pro comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
