Canon has launched their new mirrorless camera called the Canon EOS M50, today in an event held in New Delhi. The camera comes with 4K video recording through the 24.1 MP Dual Pixel AF sensor. The EOS M50 is the first 4K mirrorless camera from Canon.
The Canon EOS M50 features a 24.1 MP APS-C CMOS sensor, which chas Dual Pixel AF for fast and accurate autofocus. The camera also features Canon’s new DIGIC 8 image processor helps the camera shoot videos at 4K UHD resolution. With improved Auto Lighting Optimizer in DIGIC 8, can analyze the image and help minimize blown out areas by maintaining color and detail.
The camera can shoot HD videos at 120fps. The camera comes with a built in OLED EVF (Electronic View Finder) with touch and drag AF. It also has articulable 3.0” LCD touchscreen, which is ideal for high angle and low angle shooting conditions for better composing and reviewing of your photos. The ISO range in auto mode is ISO 100-6400 while in Expanded ISO Speed P mode, the camera can reach up to an ISO 51200 range.
The EOS M50 also comes with a silent mode option for capturing precious moments with virtually no shutter sound. It comes with a manual pop-up flash The camera is said to shoot up to 370 images (with screen on in Eco Mode), while 130 min of max recording time can be expected from a fully charged battery, in optimal conditions.
The camera body alone weighs 354 gms without any battery or SD card. It comes with Wi-Fi/NFC Bluetooth connectivity, which can help users transfer their images and movies to their smartphones through the Camera Connect App on the smartphone.
The Canon EOS M50 is priced at INR 61995.
