The pricing of Apple Music in the world was announced during the WWDC 2015 event where Apple also announced iOS 9 and Mac OS X El Capitan. The pricing though, will be different in a few places, and the company didn’t talk about it. Apple Music already is getting some good fame before it is officially launched anywhere in the world.
The pricing of Apple Music was set at $9.99 per month for an individual user, while it is $14.99 per month for a family plan having up to 6 members. Surprisingly, the pricing plans might be different from what they are in the U.S. or U.K. Especially in India, the pricing is going to be very competitive.
There are some very good services already in India doing the same, i.e. Rdio, Gaana, Wynk, and Saavn but Apple’s offering might hold some edge over these, given how it can solve the family needs where users have Android, iOS and Windows as their smartphone OS, and most would expect Apple to do the best in managing music in a better way.
So, what’s the price of Apple Music in India?
Surprisingly, this is a very competitive price by Apple. It is going to cost just Rs. 120 per member for a monthly subscription, and Rs. 180 for a family plan, which includes it for a total of six members.
This should be very helpful thanks to the fact that it is going to be available on Windows, as well as on Android. Multi-platform stuff works great in syncing, and who knows better about syncing data, than Apple?
When is Apple Music coming to India?
The Indian users will be able to start using the Apple Music subscription service from June 30th, where it is going to be available in a total of 100 countries. Good to see India as one of the places where Apple Music will be released.
