Recently, we have been witnessing an increased number of explosions among the electronic devices. The most notable of them being Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 disasters. Now, images have surfaced online showing that a grossly damaged Apple iPhone 7. The device in the photo apparently seems to have caught fire due to some kind of explosion.
The owner of the image reported the accident in a Reddit post. He claims that the iPhone 7 exploded and caught fire right inside its packaging box. The picture that he uploaded in Imgur shows a damaged handset which looks just like the newly launched iPhone. Superficially, it looks like the smartphone has suffered some serious explosion, which ripped apart the device. The screen of the mobile is separated from its body due to the impact of the outburst.
Even though the photograph seems to look like a genuine one, there is no proof of its originality. It is highly possible that the photo is totally fake. The phone in it may have damaged by some other way just to create a hoax. On the other hand, this may be a real picture and may mark the beginning of a major problem for Apple and iPhone users. Still, we would recommend you to take this with a grain of salt.
Whatever be the case, we suggest every iPhone 7 owners to keep an eye on the temperature of their handsets as a precaution is always better than cure. If you notice any unusual heating in your smartphones, which is persistent for a few days, you should immediately report it to your nearest service center.
