Razer has unveiled their latest products called Razer Blade Stealth and Razer Core at CES 2016. The Razer Blade Stealth is being called the “ultimate ultrabook” that has the potential to “disrupt the PC industry” by Razer. The specs are impressive too backing their claim, the company is planning to disrupt the PC industry by following a direct-to-consumer model which allows the Razer Blade Stealth to be sold with premium configuration at a lower price point.
The Razer Blade Stealth is a gaming laptop sporting netbook-like dimensions. It comes with a two variants of 12.5-inch QHD display having resolution of 2560 x 2160 pixels and another one having 12.5-inch UHD display having 3840 x 2160 resolution, both the variants come with capacitive multi-touch display. The QHD display variant comes with 128 GB / 256 GB PCle SSD options and the UHD display variant comes with 256 GB / 512 GB PCle SSD options.
The Razer Blade Stealth is powered by Intel Core i7-6500U Dual-Core Processor clocking at 2.5 GHz / 3.1 GHz. and Intel HD graphics, coupled with 8GB Dual-Channel System Memory LPDDR3-1866MHz. Run on Windows 10 64-bit OS. The Notebook is powered by a Built-in 45 Wh rechargeable lithium-ion polymer battery. There is a built-in webcam 2.0MP along with Built-in stereo speakers.
The Razer Core is an additional CPU which acts an addition in case you want more power to improve performance. It can be connected to laptop using Thunderbolt 3 includes 40Gbps cable. The GPU measures 152 mm (Height) x 44 mm (Width) x 310 mm (Length), the whole CPU measures 218.4 mm (Height) x 104.9 mm (Width) x 339.9 mm (Length). It supports single double-wide, full-length, PCI-Express x16 graphics card. It has Built-in 500 W power supply.
The Razer Blade Stealth starts from $1000 for the base model and the top end or premium model is priced at $1600. The Razer will start shipping later this month and Preorders have started on Razer website. The systems will be available at Microsoft Stores from February.
