Micromax has launched two new series of laptops to cater to the affordable or low-end market, called the Ignite and Alpha, which have a similar strategy as company’s smartphone lineup, offering decent specifications, and hardware at affordable prices. The Ignite and Alpha take on the competition in the laptop market with the launch of these two full-fledged laptop series.
The Ignite series laptop comes with a plastic body having a 14-inch HD IPS as the display. With Micromax’s partnership with Intel, the laptop is powered by a Pentium N3700 Quad-Core processor clocked at 1.6 GHz coupled with 4GB of DDR3 RAM having Intel HD Graphics. The Ignite series comes with 1TB of memory and runs on Windows 10 OS out of the box.
The affordable laptop is powered by a 4500mAh battery. It comes with the usual array of ports and I/Os like the battery port, two USB ports, one HDMI port and an Ethernet port etc. The laptop sports a 1 Megapixel HD Webcam.
Micromax has created a whole new line up unlike its Canvas Lapbook lineup, these laptops neither hybrid devices nor come with a touchscreen marking the company’s official entry into the Laptop segment.
Micromax has not revealed any details regarding the Alpha laptop yet. The Micromax Ignite will be available on Flipkart starting from July 25th at a price of Rs 18,990. With the price tag, it is carrying we can see that there is nothing unique or very attractive about the Ignite series laptops as compared to the competition, need to look forward to the Alpha series and what it brings to the table.
