Micromax has expanded in the laptop segment with the launch of Canvas Lapbook L1161 and Canvas Laptab LT777 in the Indian market on Thursday, and the company mentions that it wants to capture 10 percent of the market share in next 12-18 months.
The Micromax Canvas Lapbook comes with a 11.6-inch multi-touch IPS display with 1366 x 768 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.33GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F processor and supported by 2GB of RAM with 32GB internal storage which can be expanded further using microSD card. The Lapbook runs on Windows 10 OS pre-installed, it comes with a Built-in keyboard with trackpad.
Commenting on the launch, Micromax Chief Marketing Officer Shubhajit Sen told PTI:
“Micromax has always strived to bring the best technology innovations to close the gap between consumer needs and available devices,”
The Lapbook weighs just 1.3 kgs in weight and comes with a VGA-front-facing camera. It comes with connectivity features like WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 2 x USB 2.0 ports, HDMI Port and has 3.5mm headphone port and Dual Speakers. It is powered by a 5000mAh battery with battery life of 11 hours.
The Lapbook will be available from Friday via Snapdeal at a price of Rs. 13,999.
Another laptop-tablet hybrid launched by Micromax today was Micromax Canvas Laptab which is a 2-in-1 device which comes with a 10.1-inch IPS Display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. The device runs on Windows 8.1 with Bing which can be upgraded to Windows 10 OS. It is powered by a 1.33GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F processor (up to 1.86GHz in Burst mode) and supported by 2GB DDR3L RAM with 32GB inbuilt storage expandable using microSD card up to 64GB.
The company is also offering 1TB of cloud storage on Microsoft’s OneDrive service for free along with Microsoft Office 365 Personal apps free subscription. The Laptab weighs 1.1kgs in weight and measures 210.8×124.2×9.95mm in dimensions available in Black color only. It is equipped with a 2-megapixel rear and front facing camera, it comes with connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB and 3G thanks to the single SIM slot. The ports available in the Laptab are USB 2.0 port, a HDMI port and a 3G SIM slot.
The Micromax Canvas Laptab LT777 is powered by a 9000mAh battery which gives 8 to 10 hours of battery life of normal usage. The Canvas Laptab is priced at Rs. 17,999 and will be available from October 13th in amazon India.
