Lenovo has launched their latest ThinkPad P40 yoga laptop, it is a 2-in-1 convertible notebook which comes in the Yoga line and can be used in three modes of stand, tent and tablet modes trademark of the Yoga series.
The P40 Yoga combines the functionality of a professional workstation components with the convertible-hybrid design. Lenovo has added a first-class digital sketching experience by including ThinkPad Pen Pro rechargeable stylus. The P40 Yoga sports a 14-inch display with two resolution options of 2560 x 1440 (WQHD) or 1920 x 1080 pixels (full HD).
The P40 Yoga is powered by a 6th-gen Intel Core i7 CPU and supported by 16GB of RAM and 512GB SSD giving it the power to be in competition with top-end laptops. It comes with NVIDIA Quadro M500M GPU having 2GB of VRAM. The ThinkPad Pen Pro Stylus with Wacom Active ES input tech has 2,048 levels of pressure and specially-tuned software which brings the pen on paper feel while using the stylus.
The P40 Yoga runs on Windows 7 or Windows 10. While using the multiple modes you can flip the screen around with the keyboard going out of the way thanks to the Lift ‘n Lock keyboard which raises the level of the keyboard to help protect the keys in tablet mode. Along with the P40 Yoga the company launched the ThinkPad P50s workstation and the TinkStation P310.
The ThinkPad P40 Yoga 2-in-1 Laptop along with the other two will be available from first quarter of 2016. The ThinkPad P40 Yoga starts at $1,399 along with the ThinkPad P50s starting at $1,299 and the ThinkStation P310 starting at $729 and pricing of all three models will be increasing depending on the specifications selected by the user.
