Lenovo has started off its lineup of device to be launched in IFA 2015 in Berlin with the Miix 700 Tablet device, which is said to be a direct competitor to the Microsoft Surface Pro. The Miix 700 Tablet is a 2-in-1 style tablet device which can act as a tablet as well as Laptop with the attachable keyboard making it a perfect Notebook PC.
As it is being compared to the Microsoft Surface Pro, this device also runs on Windows 10 Home or Pro Operating System. Coming to the specifications of the Lenovo Miix 700, it sports a 12-inch FullHD display with a resolution of 2160 x 1440 pixels. It is powered by a 6th generation Intel Core M7 processor and Intel HD graphic card along with it. It is supported by 8GB of LPDDR3L RAM and users can add up to 256GB SSD to expand memory. The tablet comes with 5-megapixel Rear camera with Auto focus and Flash which has Intel Realsense 3D camera and a 5MP front-facing camera as well.
The Lenovo Miix 700 measures 292 x 210 x 8.95mm in dimensions and weighs just 780 grams. Coming to the connectivity features, it comes with WiFi 2 x 2 802.11 a/c, Bluetooth® 4.0 and connectors are 1 x USB 3.0, 1 x USB 2.0, Micro HDMI-out, Micro Sim (LTE / 3G SKU only), microSD™ and Audio Combo Jack. It is said to give up to 9 hours of local video playback, the exact capacity of the battery is not specified. The Lenovo Miix 700 comes with preloaded software’s like Lenovo OneKey Recovery, Companion 3.0, Photo Maser, SHAREit, REACHit, WRITEit, LiveSafe. you will be getting an optional 4G LTE modem with the Lenovo Miix 700 which is an advantage over the Microsoft Surface pro 3.
The Lenovo Miix 700 is priced at $699 and will be available from November 2015 in markets. You will be getting a keyboard cover with the Miix 700 without any additional costs like in the Microsoft Surface Pro. The keyboard keys are more like a laptop keys and it comes with faux leather palm rests and flat plastic trackpad. There is a stand which tucks back into the device body which is almost the length of the case and allows you to view the display at angles between 95-135 degrees.
