HP had announced this laptop earlier in May and has now made it official with the Spectre x360 which can now be called a tablet/notebook hybrid or a convertible PC. The Spectre x360 comes with 13.3-inch Full HD or QHD display. It is a really good looking device which is made up of aluminum and it has got some decent upgrades from last years model.
The Spectre x360 is said to be the companies “most premium” computer till date. It comes with some high end specifications with the ability to flip the display around to work as a tablet, which was first started with the Lenovo Yoga series. The device measures 15.9mm thick and is made of aluminum having a silver-gray style body.
The Spectre x360 sports a 13.3-inch full HD or QHD display which is optically bonded quad HD touchscreen and is powered by a 6th-gen Skylake chip set which is a Core i7-6500U and a model with Core i5 CPU version with Intel HD 520 graphics. The base model comes with a Core i5 Skylake chip set and 4GB RAM along with 128GB M.2 SSD with fullHD display. The other model comes with Core i7-6500U chip set which come with 256GB and 512GB M.2 SSD’s with QHD display.
The device comes with three USB 3.0 ports, an SD card reader, Mini Display Port, HDMI port and backlit keyboard. It comes with Windows 8.1 preinstalled, the update to Windows 10 is not sure as of now. It comes with decent battery life of 10-12.5 hours of normal usage, HP says that Spectre x360 can playback 1080p videos for 11 hours.
HP has also released another device called the Spectre x2 which is a tablet with a kickstand to compete with Microsoft Surface with its sleek design. The HP Spectre x360 comes with an aluminum body and 15.9mm thick which weighs 3.3 pounds in weight. Spectre x360 is compared to the Apple MacBook Air.
The basic model of the Spectre x360 is priced at for the Core i5 processor with 4GB RAM along with 128GB sporting 1080p display for $899 and the top end model is priced at $1,399.
