The Taiwanese company Asus has introduced their flagship high-performance, ultra durable laptop in India. The ZenBook Pro UX501 has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 1,15,999. The Laptop sports a 15.6-inch 4K UltraHD VisualMaster IPS display, with resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and having 282 PPI.
The IPS technology lets the display have wide 178 degree viewing angles which ensures colors and contrast to be perfect from all viewing angles. It is powered by an Intel Core i7-4720HQ processor which comes with 4 cores, 8 threads and 6MB cache clocking at 2.6GHz and can Turbo up to 3.6GHz, it is supported by 16GB of RAM. To handle the Graphics a Nvidia GeForce GTX960M Graphic card has been included with 2GB of GDDR5 RAM
It comes with a 512GB SSD with read and write speeds up to 1400MB/s which is 16 times faster than standard SATA 6Gbit/s hard disks. With a 512GB SSD we can expect it to be very fast paired with a Core-i7 processor. With the power at offer it makes 4K/UHD Video playback, 3D processing and image along with video editing smooth and lag free.
The laptop carries the design of the ZenBook family and is slim and compact at just 0.81-inches of thickness, made possible due to the lightweight aluminium body and iconic spun-metal finish. It has brushed metal surfaces and diamond-cut chamfers on the edges add brilliant highlights while the keyboard periphery is enhanced with a stylish laser-engraved ripple-effect pattern.
On the connectivity front the Asus ZenBook Pro UX501 comes with High-Speed 802.11ac Wi-Fi with speeds of up to 867Mbit/s, it is said to be three times faster than the previous generation 802.11n. For data transfer it comes with Thunderbolt 2.0 connectivity which helps in connecting storage devices, docking stations, display and other host of high speed devices.
