Asus has launched the R558UQ notebook in India which is an upgraded variant of the R558 that was launched back in June 2016. The new R558UQ comes in two different variants; based on the power they get – Core i7 and Core i5, and both the models sport the same 15.6-inches Full HD display.

The Asus R55UQ comes with a 15.6-inches Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display with 200 nits brightness, and the base model is powered by the 2.5GHz Intel Core i5-7200U processor, and the high-end model comes with a 2.7GHz Intel Core i7-7500U processor coupled with dedicated 2GB NVIDIA GeForce 940MX (N16S-GTR) graphics. The R558UQ with i5 processor packs 4GB DDR4 RAM and the i7 variant comes with 8GB DDR RAM (dedicated upgradeable memory door) and 1TB 5400RPM 2.5′ HDD SATA storage.
The new Asus Notebook rocks VGA web camera, 3.5mm headphone jack, 5-in-1 card reader and mic combo. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.0, 1x USB 2.0, 1x USB 3.0, USB Type C, VGA port, HDMI port. The Asus R558UQ can give up to 4.5h battery life. The Asus R558UQ also comes with a chiclet keyboard with Asus’ Smart Gesture and Splendid software
The Core i7 model is available in Glossy Dark Brown IMR while the Core i5 model is available in Matt Golden, Glossy Dark Brown, Red and Dark Blue color options. The i7 processor model is priced at Rs 48,990, and the i5 variant is priced at Rs. 59,990. Both these model will be available from retail stores as well as online retailers such as Amazon.in and Flipkart.
