Smartron has launched a new 2-in-1 laptop, Smartron tbook flex, on May 4, in New Delhi. As the name suggests, the laptop boasts a 150° hinge design that flexes as per user’s requirement. The 2-in-1 from Smartron is powered by 7th Gen Intel Core processors, and comes with 128 GB SSD.
The laptop features 12.2 inch touchscreen IPS LCD display with a resolution 2560×1600. As it’s a touchscreen laptop it also supports stylus/ pen input and also has an oleophobic coating on top.
The laptop packs in either a 7th Gen Intel Core m3 7Y30 or 7th Gen Intel Core i5 7Y54 processors. The m3 processor has a base clock of 1.0 GHz and a boost clock up to 2.60 GHz, whereas the Core i5 variant has 1.20 GHz & 3.20 GHz speeds respectively. The laptop comes with up to 4 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and a 128 GB SSD, for storage. The graphics are handled by Intel’s integrated HD 615 graphics.
The tablet attaches with the bundled type cover through the dockpin connection at the bottom of the tablet. The type cover connects using bluetooth and has backlit keys along with a trackpad.
The tbook flex has a magnesium-aluminum alloy metallic body, with dual-tone coloring. For connectivity, there’s 2 USB 3.0 ports, 1 SD card slot, 1 USB Type C Thunderbolt 3 port, 1 USB Type C port and 3.5 mm headphone jack. The tbook flex also supports dual band 802.11 ac Wi-Fi along with Wi-Fi Direct and Bluetooth 4.0 support.
There’s a 5 MP camera on the rear and 2 MP camera to the front for video calls. The laptop also comes with 2x 1W/ 8 ohm speakers. The laptop also features Hall sensor and a Accelerometer.
The 40 Whr Li-Po battery underneath can be charged up using the 45 W Type C power adapter. For security, the laptop comes with a fingerprint scanner. The laptop weighs around 1375 gms including the type-cover.
Pricing and Availability
The tbook Flex comes in Orange/grey and Black/grey colors. The pricing starts at Rs. 42,990 for the Core m3 variant, while the Core i5 variant comes at Rs. 52,990. The laptop will be sold exclusively on Flipkart and will go on sale on May 13, 2018.
