As is the case with Android OS for smartphones, the Android Wear for smartwatches is going to receive a huge update and this will be the Android Wear OS 2.0 that is going to be announced on February 9th according to Evleaks, the trusted leakster on Twitter.
Nati Shochat on Twitter has shared a list of smartwatches that are said to be getting the Android Wear 2.0 update after its launch, though there is no timeline and thus, you don’t know which watch will receive the update before the others.

So, below is the list of smartwatches that will get the update to the newer Android Wear version after its launch. Given how much you can trust Evan Blass (evleaks) for the information usually shared, we know this is pretty much the list that will match the official one later, so if you have one of the watches listed below, you have all the reasons to be happy to see the upcoming smartwatch OS update with a lot of changes.
- Moto 360 2nd gen.
- Moto 360 Sport
- LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE
- LG Watch Urbane
- LG G Watch R
- Polar M600
- Casio Smart Outdoor Watch
- Nixon Mission
- Tag Heuer Connected
- Fossil Q Wander
- Fossil Q Marshal
- Fossil Q Founder
- Michael Kors Access Bradshaw
- Michael Kors Access Dylan
- Huawei Watch
- Huawei Watch Ladies
- ASUS ZenWatch 2
- ASUS ZenWatch 3
We might see some more watches added to the list but if some are not there, they might be facing some issues with the support, or they might be over a couple of years old and you should not be expecting the Android Wear 2.0 update on it.
For a brand new one, the first smartwatches to have the Android Wear 2.0 running in them at the launch are LG Watch Sport and Style watches, which are to be announced along with the new OS version.
Awesome! good news, huge updates. Lucky smartwatch users.. 🙂
