It wasn’t long ago when the MP3 players were considered to be the coolest stuff on earth but slowly they are diminishing. Evolution is required for everything and the case is similar with Mp3 players. Pioneer, the Japanese company is ready to disrupt the audio market with its new XDP-100R.
XDP-100R is somewhat similar to a FLAC-ready music player. The device was first shown at IFA and has been finally launched. XDP-100R comes with a machined aluminum body which gives it a great look. The design is pretty similar to that of Astell & Kern, the only difference we have here is the placement of the volume knob which is on the left instead of right. The device is said to come at a price of $700 and if that is going to be the price of this music player then we can surely see some good competition with Sony’s Walkman ZX2 priced at $1,119.
According to the company this music player is for those who are not satisfied by the audio quality of their smartphones. XDP-100R runs on Android and comes with a 4.7 Inch display which has a 720p resolution. Apart from that the device also houses a pair of MicroSD card slots each supporting up to 128GB with that you even get 32GB in-built storage. The device promises a 10-hour playback on a single charge. You also get detachable bumps on the top and bottom of the device for added protection.
This is certainly a music player which won’t get all the eyeballs but the music-addicts are definitely going to drool on this product.
