Plantronics has launched their latest noise-cancelling Bluetooth enabled headset, the Voyager 5200 which comes with wind and noise-cancelling feature. It supports Bluetooth version 4.1 which comes with an extended mobile range of up to 98 feet or 30 meters. It also comes with protection against light rain, humidity, and sweat with the help of Nano coating by P2i. A Mic extends from the earpiece and it comes with a power button and two volume button on the top as well.
To get the best noise-cancelling experience the headset is equipped with four adaptive noise cancelling microphones which will work together to reduce disruptive background noise. One of the most useful features is the Voice control feature which is available with the help of a dedicated button on the headset, it lets you activate Siri, Cortana or Google Now.
It also has the voice command feature that lets you answer Incoming calls just by saying “answer” or “ignore” to not accept the incoming call making it completely hands-free as it announces the name or number of the incoming call.
It is also equipped with Windsmart technology which detects wind direction and responds based on it to bring the best results. It supports 14 voice prompt languages, NFC pairing and adaptive volume. The company says, “With the Aerodynamic boom resisting turbulence and Windscreen filtering the initial air layer, crisp, clear sound is obtained with Wind Box enclosed microphones powered by Multi-Mic Array and Wind Avoidance Algorithm which cancel up to 26 decibels of noise.”
It supports Micro USB and magnetic charging options and on a single full charge you can get up to 7 hours of talk time and up to 9 days of standby time. The Plantronics Voyager 5200 is available across India through Rashi peripherals distributor and is priced at Rs. 7,999.
