Alongside the Nokia 7.1, HMD Global, a Nokia brand licensee, has also announced two new audio devices, the Nokia True Wireless Earbuds, and the Nokia Pro Wireless Earphones, today, in London.
Nokia True Wireless Earbuds
The Nokia True Wireless Earbuds, as the name suggests, are truly wireless buds from Nokia, that sit in your ears, without any wires dangling around. The earphones provide Stereo music playback and phone calls.
The earphones offer up to 3.5 hours of talk time on a single charge, while the bundled charging case can charge the earbuds up to 3 times, offering up to 16 hours of total talk time or 14 hours of playback time.
The charging case has a cylindrical design and uses a push-pop mechanism (spring release system) to store and extract the earphones from it. As mentioned earlier, the charging case allows users to charge their earbuds on the go.
The Nokia True Wireless Earbuds are IPX4 rated for Sweat and Splash resistance. Also, the earbuds connect to devices wireless using Bluetooth 5.0 technology. The earbuds weigh only five gms each.
Pricing and Availability of Nokia True Wireless Earbuds
The Nokia True Wireless Earbuds come in Black, while the pricing of the buds is EUR 130 (USD 149/ INR 11,020 approx.)and will be available starting from November.
Nokia Pro Wireless Earphones
The Nokia Pro Wireless Earphones, on the other hand, are proper wireless earphones with wires connecting each bud and a neckband that rests around your neck.
The Nokia Pro Wireless Earphones comes with magnetic play/pause controls, which pause the playback when the earbuds are slapped together magnetically, and resumes playback when separated.
Users can also end calls by slapping the earphones together and can answer calls by unclipping them. AI assistants such as Google and Siri can be triggered with the help of the earphones.
The earphones also vibrate on calls, to let users know if someone is calling them. The earphones offer up to 10 hours of music playback time on a single charge, while a full charge takes approximately 2-3 hours.
For an HD audio experience, the earphones use Qualcomm aptX technology. The earphones use Bluetooth 4.2 with multipoint connection for up to 2 devices. The earphones support A2DP, AVRCP, and HFP audio profiles.
The Nokia Pro Wireless Earphones are compatible with most of the Bluetooth devices; however, the remote control functions may vary, from device to device. Similar to the True Wireless Earbuds, the Pro Wireless is protected against both sweat and splashes.
Pricing and Availability of Nokia Pro Wireless Earphones
The Nokia Pro Wireless Earphones come in Black color and have a braided cable. The Pro Wireless costs around EUR 70 (USD 80/ INR 5,935 approx.) and will be available starting from November.
