Xiaomi’s successful Mi Band had seen a successor in the Mi Band 2 which also was an excellent fitness band with the heart rate monitor included. Xiaomi’s been very active in the smartphone segment while the accessories had to see something new. The company has finally come up with a new band, which actually is a mixture of the two launched earlier.
The Xiaomi Mi Band HRX Edition is a fitness tracker that is launched in partnership with HRX, the brand from Bollywood celebrity Hrithik Roshan. The limited edition version of the Mi Band comes with a design that resembles the Mi Band 2 but it doesn’t have the heart rate sensor that was present in the band. According to the company, the sensors are made better on the band for a better tracking.
The features of the Mi Band HRX Edition include step tracking, sleep tracking, and helping unlock your smartphone, and thanks to the OLED display that is present on the top, you would be able to see app and call notifications. The band connects to smartphones with the Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity and there is compatibility with both Android and iOS.
The Mi Band HRX Edition boasts a battery life of 23 days and it is priced at Rs. 1299. Xiaomi is going to sell the band on Mi.com and at Mi Home stores from 18th of September and from 20th September, it will be available on Flipkart and Amazon India. While the Mi Band 2 has the advantage of heart rate sensor for the heart rate tracking, the HRX Edition should be good for those who would want to track their steps and the sleep health and there is a certain price difference as well, because the Mi Band 2 is priced at Rs. 1999.
