Razer, the gaming laptops, controllers and accessories manufacturer has unveiled their latest accessory in the Smart band segment called the Nabu Watch. Razer is not new to the Smart band segment as well as the VR headset segment having devices across these segments. Smartwathces are coming with classy looks and there are not many which have this sporty or rugged look which the Nabu watch carries.
The Nabu watch is unique unlike other smart bands, it comes with dual display and dual battery, this means that each display gets its own battery. This gives the watch a mix of being a regular watch as well as a a smartwatch capable of showing notifications.
The first display is a regular one like the electronic watches which displays time, date, alarm, countdown timer, stopwatch, world clock etc. It is said that the battery powering this illuminated display can last for 12 months at a stretch. The second one is an OLED display which shows activity and sleep tracking details when connected with your smartphone. The presence of dual displays allows you to use it just as a watch by turning off the OLED display and disconnecting the connection between the watch and your smartphone.
It is capable of tracking your activity like number of steps and sleep activity with the help of accelerometer. These details are displayed in the OLED display which is powered by a rechargeable battery which is said to last for seven days on a single charge. The same battery also powers the vibration motor.
The Razer Nabu Watch is compatible with iPhone and Android devices using Bluetooth. The time is set automatically when it is synced with your watch. You can receive and view notifications for calls, text, emails along with alerts from apps like Facebook, Twitter etc. The Razer Nabu watch is available in two variants, the standard model is made up of polycarbonate material having Razer green highlights. The second model is called Forged Edition model made of stainless steel buttons and premium black finish.
These come with 5ATM rating which makes i shock proof and water resistant up to 5 meters. Both the variants will be available later this month with the standard model being priced at $150 and the Forged Edition priced at $200.
