One major aspect which makes this bed and the “SleepIQ” technology used around it so amazing is, the mattress looks at all the aspects of your daily life with the help of the app which connects to other apps like health and fitness and imports or exports data and assess the impact your daily life activities are having on your sleep.
To give an example, the app or the mattress can access your calendar and check the schedules and act or give notifications accordingly. In case you have an early appointment you will get an alert to go to bed early, if you had a hectic and packed day the mattress will suggest to adjust the firmness of the mattress accordingly to give your aching body some much needed rest.
Pete Bils, the vice president of sleep science and research at Sleep Number, said “The company is still working on securing partnerships with other companies, but the goal is to use the information from other apps to gain a more holistic view of your life and all the things that affect how well you sleep” he added “All of those things come into play and impact your sleep”.
In case you are worried about your personal data being synced or accessed by the App, the company has given the option to choose which apps can be accessed by the mattress App. The Sleep Number settings are the options which the mattress has to adjust the firmness thanks to dual air chambers which can be individually adjusted.
