Feature phones are primarily for making calls, and Itel’s it5311 is said to be offering a feature that makes it worry-free for people who want to make calls and not think much about the charging of the device. Itel boasts 2.5 million sales of feature phones in the country.
The Itel it5311 has a 1900 mAh battery and it is said to be supporting fast charging, and a 10-minute charging is enough for it to give about two hours of talk time. The 1A charger provided in the package will be able to charge the phone fully in less than three hours, and this is about 2x the charging speed when compared to any other normal charger.
The slim design phone comes with a 2.8 inch display on the front and there is a multi-language support, including Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati and English. The phone has wireless FM, and there are Facebook, Palmchat, and a few JAVA games pre-installed into it. There’s also a Smart Auto Call Recorder feature included, and the Privacy Lock feature keeps the personal information of the user protected.

A quick look at the technical specifications of the device reveal that the phone is powered by MTK6260A chipset, and there is 64Mb RAM and 64Mb ROM included, with a MicroSD card support allowing storage expansion by up to 32GB. GPRS/EDGE connectivity is present as well and the 2.8-inch display has a QVGA resolution.
The phone is priced at Rs. 1610 and it will be retailed in 24 states in India.
