We have played some high-end games like the Asphalt 8 Airborne, Modern Combat 5, and also the Dead Trigger 2 game and while most of the time it was a good experience, we experienced some lags while playing the MC5 game, which usually asks a lot from the GPU. How good is the rear camera of the phone?
The 13-megapixel camera is not bad with the quality of pictures that it takes. Of course, what we like is the fact that Micromax has done a lot when it comes to the camera app interface and features because there are some good modes included and the camera app also takes advantage of the large screen size and gives you a preview of recently captured pictures without you having to go to the Gallery every time.
The picture quality is quite good for the bright light conditions but there is a compromise, more so with the amount of noise in the pictures taken in low light, which is expected because the phone has a F/2.0 aperture and still, this is better than a few other phones in this price range.
Is the 16-megapixel selfie camera any good?
A very good camera with some very natural shots possible with it. We took a lot of selfies, group pictures and most of them had a perfect recognition of faces and thus, well focused captures were done with it. Also, it does offer a bokeh mode where the background is said to be defocused but it isn’t that satisfactory.
The phone also has a LED flash support for the selfie camera.
Does the phone have a fast charging support?
No, there is no such mention for fast charge and the charger as well is the standard one provided in the box. We tried to use a fast charger but the speed was normal.
Does the phone have the LED notification light?
Yes, there is a LED light for notifications and for the charging status, and it is present on the top right of the phone, just beside the front-facing camera.
How good is the battery life of the phone?
So far, it is not so great with the battery life offered because the Xiaomi Redmi 4 and the Redmi Note 4, both offer a better battery performance but then, for a 2900 mAh battery that is given in the phone, it has a decent usage with around 4 hours of screen-on time and it can last through the day for regular users when connected occasionally on data and Wi-Fi.
Does the Canvas Infinity have a USB OTG support?
Yes, there is OTG support given in the phone for the transfer of files to an OTG drive, and for the different things that you can do with the OTG support.
