Apple yesterday held their annual developers conference, the WWDC 2015 event in Cupertino. Usually as in every year, it is at the WWDC event that Apple announces their next version of the iOS and Mac operating systems. And as expected, this year we got updates on the next version of iOS, a new version of the Mac operating system and more. And today, we are here with a detailed roundup about everything that happened at the WWDC 2015 event yesterday.
1. iOS 9:
We all have been waiting for the iOS 9 operating system pretty restless. Mainly because of how the iOS 8 failed to satisfy a very major part of iOS users out there. Rumors outside were that Apple’s main focus with the iOS 9 update would be mainly to iron out all the bugs and issues that came with the iOS 8 operating system.
However, when we finally got details on the iOS 9 operating system at yesterday’s WWDC event, it is not all about fixes and patches, but there are some quite great new feature additions to the iOS 9 operating system as well. One of them is the iOS 9 multitasking on iPad.
2. Mac OS X 10.11 “El Capitan”:
The all new updated version of Apple’s Mac OS X was also announced at the WWDC event. The latest Mac OS X 10.11 version is named “El Capitan” and also brings in a lot of new features like Split View, Updated Spotlight. One major update that comes with the “El Capitan” update is that now it can play games as well.
3. WatchOS 2:
The Apple Watch might be the most popular Smartwatch option out there, but it is still not the best, at least in the software department. There are a lot of software improvements that we would love to see in the Apple Watch OS. And Apple has launched the WatchOS 2 at the WWDC event bringing most of those improvements. Now Apple Watch supports native applications, which means faster loading and processing, while using applications in the Apple Watch. Also, a new desk clock mode is introduced, which makes the Apple Watch even more functional.
4. Apple Music:
Ever since Apple bought Beats Audio last year, we have been waiting for Apple to launch their own music streaming service to compete with the current best music streaming service, Sportify.
And finally, Apple has also unveiled the Apple Music service with a lot of attractive features and options, at the WWDC event.
This is an overall roundup of the announcements made at the WWDC event 2015 held in Cupertino. We will be bringing more details on every announcement made at the WWDC event, shortly.
