“Power Players” is what Lenovo is calling them, as the company schedules an event for the launch of Vibe P1 and P1m smartphones in India. These both smartphones were announced at the IFA 2015 event in Berlin, a month back.
The most interesting part about these devices, is obviously the battery. Of course it isn’t just the capacity, but the OTG charging feature, where one can use the phone’s battery to charge other devices around. Bluetooth headsets and portable speakers included, one can easily charge them from the MicroUSB port of the smartphones.
While the Lenovo P1 is a larger device with 5.5-inch display, the P1m comes with a 5-inch display. The difference isn’t only with the size though, as the processor as well is different. The Lenovo P1 has Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor powering it, while the P1m comes with Mediatek MT6735P processor, and both the devices have 2GB of RAM.
While it is a huge 5000 mAh battery packed into the Vibe P1, the P1m comes packed with a 4000 mAh battery. We expect the pricing to be under Rs. 18000 for the Vibe P1, while the P1m should be carrying a price tag of around Rs. 10,000.
