Lenovo is set to return to the Indian market soon, with the launch of a new smartphone. The company went exile ever after the launch of the K8 and K8 Plus smartphones, which were great competitors in their price segment.
The company has sent out invites for an upcoming event with a picture which says “The Killer Returns”. Lenovo calls it K-series Note phones, as “Killer Note” which was the same with the K8 Note. We do expect the company to launch a successor to the K8 Note on October 16, 2018, as mentioned on the invite.
The picture also sheds light on the metallic side-frame of the upcoming smartphone, which has rounded corners. However, it doesn’t give away any other details. Although Lenovo had launched the Z5 as well as the K5 Note 2018 in China, back in June, it is still unknown as of which phone is going to make its way to the Indian market.
While we do hope Lenovo brings the Z5 to India, we wouldn’t be all that disappointed if the company announces the K5 Note 2018, as well. The Z5 might be dubbed as a K-series phone, given that it comes with a Snapdragon 636 SOC, making the competition even more stringent in the mid-range segment.
Other details of the upcoming smartphone are not yet known; however, we do expect to see some information surface as the launch day nears. So, stay tuned to Gizmo Times.
