Apple launched their 12-inch Macbook last year around the same time, and today they have updated their lineup of the 12-inch MacBooks. Along with updating the specs under the hood, they have introduced a new colour option as well, the Rose Gold. Yes! Now there is a Rose Gold Macbook as well, just in case you want to purchase that for some reason.
Apple upgraded their 12-inch MacBook lineup with the latest 6th Generation Intel M Processors with options to configure each laptop with up to 1.3GHz in clock speed. They have also added faster RAM to the laptop to make it even faster. Along with the change the in the processor and the RAM, the company has also updated the graphics chip on the laptop. It now comes with an Intel HD Graphics 515 chip that Apple claims to provide 25 percent boost in graphics performance over last year’s model.
The 12-inch Macbook is also expected to have an improved battery life and will not last for up to 11 hours of movie playback through iTunes or up to 10 hours of web browsing on Safari. Apart from all these, the 12-inch Macbook will now be available in a Rose Gold color as well for those who wish to match their Macbook with their iPads or iPhones.
The pricing for the 12-inch Macbook in India is quoted at Rs. 1,06,900 for the Intel Core M3 Processor, 8GB RAM and 256GB of Storage model whereas the Intel Core M5 model with 8GB of RAM and 512GB storage will now cost Rs. 1,29,900.
Apart from the updates to the 12-inch MacBook, Apple has also announced that all the 13-inch Macbook Air models will now ship with 8GB of RAM as the standard configuration. This is definitely a good move by Apple because 4GB of RAM is just not enough these days, even on a Macbook Air.
